The story of ill-fated lovers has long captured the imagination of the audience. In William Shakespeare’s’ work Romeo and Juliet is probably the most popular tragedy in his body of work. Personally, I always liked Macbeth but then again that is me, and there is no argument against the number of staging and adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. There is even a shrine to Romeo and Juliet in Verona. Even the film Shakespeare in Love used as its backdrop the play of the star-crossed lovers.
